The Quiet Colorist!
Greece landscapes are colour play! I love playing with colour and images from a recent trip to Greece and Rome.
The art term Colourist is someone who is more concerned with colour-play, someone who exaggerates a colour rather than depicting the colour that is really there. I like doing that.
This little boat, sandwiched between two lovely tall sailboats in a marina in Greece, caught my interest. The boat was plain, the water blue and inviting, but when I painted the image, I exaggerated the colour to “pop” the fishing boat. It is one of my favourites!
